Photos Needed

As most of you probably alreadt know, 2011 will be the 100th anniversary of Eagle Rock's incorporation as an indenpendent city. I'm putting together a 30 minute mini DVD with the help of some students from Occidental College (in the Ken Burn's style showing old and new photos and video. We're still looking for photos that will show us some of the cars from the 50s and 60s as well as some photos of everyone meeting at Bob's Big Boy in Eagle Rock.

Other photots that would also be helpful are:

1. The Putt-Putt golf on Colorado and its preceeding (I'm told) go-cart track

Tromper Picnic 2009

Trompers

In September of 1947 John Gunderson founded a Hot Rod Club.

He called it The Trompers of Eagle Rock

John had his sister Jean handpaint the first plaques on polished and shaped fiberboard. As Jean finished up her task, John called up the other 6 founding members; have them come over to his house where they would affix the freshly painted plaques to the back of their roadsters. That made it official. They were a member of the Trompers, and were now ready to go to the lakes.
